Today I’m going to share with you two Christmas treats that make cute gifts for knitters.
The first one is this Fair Isle style biscuit tin. This is from Priceline, and comes filled with really terrible biscuits. I immediately dumped the biscuits into a dish and put them in the office tea room. They were all eaten within half an hour, which I put down to my colleagues being willing to try anything once, rather than the biscuits being any good. Seriously, the biscuits are just awful.
The tin is a winner though. It would make a great gift filled with a skein of fancy yarn or sweets (or both). The internal height is 27 cm – which makes it too short for most of my straight knitting needles.
I can’t find these tins on the Priceline website, so you’ll have to try your luck in one of their shops if you want one.
The second Christmas treat is from Bed, Bath n Table. The little mice in knitted jumpers have been around for a few years, and there are several different styles. If you put “mouse” into their search field you’ll find them – but there is a greater variety in the shop.
Although they have loops on their heads for hanging, I prefer not to hang them from a tree – it’s a bit ghoulish. So my mice sit on my bookshelf over November and December, rather than dangling from festive nooses.
I should mention that this blog post is not sponsored – I bought these things myself. Besides, I don’t think Priceline would pay me to describe their biscuits as terrible.
