One of my knitting resolutions for 2017 was to blog more often. It’s now February 21st so I have a lot of catching up to do!
Blogging aside, I’ve set a number of goals and resolutions for the year. I put knitting projects or finished objects in the “goals” list and changes or improvements to the way I do things in the “resolutions” list.
Knitting goals for 2017
- Finish all my UFOs from last year.
- Knit 12 pair of socks.
- Make at least one winter jumper, cardigan or vest for myself.
- Make at least one winter jumper, cardigan or vest for Geoff.
- Make one summer/spring top for myself.
- Make the Victory Beret by Tasha Moss (I have the kit in my stash).
- Make the Lace Scarf I got from Rowan (another kit in my stash).
- Self-publish five patterns.
- Have at least one of my patterns published in a magazine.
Knitting resolutions for 2017
- Only buy new yarn if I have a specific project to cast on.
- Only have one pair of socks and one large item in progress at any time.
- Make a tension swatch before I knit.
That’s quite a lot of knitting!
I’ve made things easier for myself by having a giant destash before Christmas. I’ll post more information about each project in the next few posts and tell you why I decided on each project rather than one form my enormous project queue on Ravelry.
So, what’s first on my list? I’ve already finished my first pair of socks for the year and I’ve cast on the second pair. I’d love to make another Wee Liesl cardigan for another friend’s baby, but I’ll see him in about ten days’ so I’ll need to cast on tonight for that one.
