I’m knitting a sample of my Holgate Beanie hat for a shop at the moment. I asked if they wanted a specific colour and was told than anything except blue would be fine.
I’m really into orange at the moment, so I’ve selected a combination of colours I can best describe as milk, carrot and tomato. They do have real names but I think the ones I made up are a better description. I’ll post a picture when it’s done.
My current love of orange is because it’s Autumn. The deciduous trees are really turning on the colour for one last show before they all give up and sleep for the winter.
In only three days Autumn will be officially over and winter will be here.
It’s Sunday today and I thought that instead of an afternoon nap, I’d go for a walk and try to get a little bit of sunlight. Given it’s incredibly overcast and has been raining most of the day I may have been too optimistic.
I took my new camera. I started reading the instruction manual today (one month after purchase) and I thought I’d get some practice.
For someone who set out to photograph Autumn leaves, I got a lot of pictures of roses. There was something very beautiful about the crushed and drowned blooms. I’m amazed that some of them looked quite fresh considering how late in the season it is.
I also took photos of flowering gum….
…some little calves that looked cold and sad….
…and of course, a field of lettuce.
I love my new camera.
