what is a Yarn advent calendar?

My yarn advent calendar works just the same as the chocolate advent calendars you might be used to. Each day from the 1st to the 24th of December, you open up a little parcel of yarn. You won’t know the colour until you open it, but the order of the packages will be arranged to produce a pleasing result for those who like to knit all the colours in the order they are opened.

What is in this kit?

All yarn in this kit is Little Yellow Cat Duck Feet Sock Yarn. Duck Feet is 80% Australian merino wool and 20% nylon. Recommended needle size 2.5 – 3.25mm.

• 24 individually wrapped mini-skeins of yarn. Each mini-skein is 74 metres long,
• 1 full 100g skein to open on Christmas day (372 metres)
• An original advent calendar shawl pattern you can use with your kit. Your kit will include a unique download code so you can download the pattern from Ravelry and keep it in your Ravelry library. If you are not a Ravelry member, you will still be able to download your pattern. If you are unable to download a pattern, please let me know when you place your order so I can arrange a paper copy of the pattern for you.

Come on – tell me more about the colours!

The colours will feature a range of different dyeing styles. There will be speckled, semi-solid and variegated skeins in a range of soft, mid-tone and saturated colours.

You can place an order up until midnight on Sunday 12 September 2021.

The special price of $239 is only valid during the Big Wool Show weekend September 4&5. The normal price of $255 will apply from 9am on Monday September 6.

All parcels will be posted to Australian addresses on Monday 15 November. You will receive an email confirming your tracking number.

The price does not include postage – this will be charged at the checkout. If you order other items when you place this order, I will dispatch them separately for no additional cost.
