I’ve done so much knitting, embroidery and crochet over the past week that all I can think about is…. well, what I want to design and knit next really. Yep, obsessed. I just have to add a lace edging to a baby cardigan and I’m all done with this collection of samples I’ve pulled together.
Some of the techniques I wanted to show off didn’t get a chance to become a new project, so I’ll just have to use something I’ve already made. For example, I really wanted to make up a new piece of fair isle for my collection of samples but time just ran out. I’ll use a hat I made earlier this year. Damn this non-knitting related, full-time, demanding job!
I asked my beloved if he would like to support me while I stay at home and knit. I think he’s still laughing. I know it would make economic sense for me to trade him in for one of those millionaire type fellas but I’m quite fond of this one and he did make dinner the last two nights so I could have more time to swear at my knitting. I think I’ll keep him.
I will let you all know what this collection of samples is for in a few days – regardless of whether they achieve what they are meant to or not. I’m starting to feel a bit sick and panicky about it all and I don’t want to jinx myself by yakking about it.
Apologies to the two people who posted comments about the Camomile Lawn Tea Cosy – one about the knitted daisies and the other about stitch count. I’ll post answers within 48 hours once all this stress and excitement is over.
Meanwhile, I’ve updated a tab at the top of the blog to link you back to the pattens that are available as Ravelry downloads. There are only three there at the moment but I have another beret to re-test knit that I hope to have available very soon. The typesetting is done but I need to test it one more time.
So, wish me luck without knowing what you are wishing me luck for and I’ll post in a few days where all will be revealed.
