Today’s featured vintage pattern is Toddlers World in Totem from Patons. Like many pattern books from my collection, it combines perfectly nice knitwear with rather alarming styling.
I received this pattern from my mother in law who gave me a bag of patterns during her last visit. The bag contained patterns that her own mother had used as well as some of her own.
This one had been put to good use as you can see in the photo below of my husband (in the red and yellow vest) and his older brother wearing vests from the front cover.
I’m particularly impressed with the floral shirts with pointed collars – very 70’s.

Your husband’s shirt has nothing on the little boy’s yellow shirt collar. I’m pretty sure those huge flaps were not designed too be buttoned up at the neck!
